Mystery Missions
Prepositions of Place Digital Escape Room – Pirate Island
Prepositions of place
Bring prepositions of place to life with Pirate Island: The Missing Treasure Map, a picture-based digital mystery adventure for Grades 1–3. Students join Coco on a colorful island and use location words to recover six missing map pieces before solving the treasure mystery.
The mission gives students a visual reason to read carefully. They connect sentences with illustrated scenes and practice describing where people, animals, and objects are. Target language includes on, under, next to, behind, between, and in front of. The pirate setting provides a shared context for practicing these everyday position words.
Purchase your mission, then activate it using the code in your PDF.

Seven interactive challenges take students through Sandy Beach, Pirate Ship, Palm Path, Captain’s Cabin, Shell Cove, Lookout Hill, and Treasure Cove. The adventure includes picture matching, an illustrated maze, and a search-the-scene challenge. Students follow the story, complete activities, and collect map pieces as they move towards the final task. The mission hub keeps the adventure’s locations and progress together in one place.
Teachers activate a purchased mission using the activation code in the purchase PDF, then create a classroom code in the teacher dashboard. Students enter that code and choose a nickname or team name. They do not need student email accounts. Teachers can monitor progress from the dashboard and choose whether to add an optional time limit. Allow about 45 minutes, depending on reading level and the pace of play.
Students need an internet connection and a computer or tablet in landscape; gameplay is not designed for phones. The images below show real screens from the Pirate Island mission, including its entry page, hub, and illustrated activities. This listing is currently marked coming soon; purchase buttons will be added when the mission is ready for release.
